Paden City was looking for it’s first victory on Friday night when Tygarts Valley made the three and a half hour trip to town for a showdown that many predicted would go in the Wildcats favor. However the Wildcats were playing with an injury depleted team which made it difficult to keep pace with the visitors who heavily outnumbered the Cats.

The Wildcats just couldn’t get much going and penalties and injuries kept mounting. Tygerts Valley quickly took advantage as they put three scores on the board in the first quarter and added two more in the second to run up a 33-0 halftime lead. They tacked on two more in the third and at the end of three were up 46-0.

Paden City sustained an injury to it’s quarterback but managed two scores in the fourth frame on a one yard run by Ethan Cross and a 14 yarder by Ryan Cross. Tygerts Valley got another score on a 70 yard kickoff return sandwiched in between the two P.C scores.

For the Wildcats Rander Amos got in on a two point conversion run. Ryan Cross led the Cat’s ground attack with 78 yards on just seven carries. Amos added 75 on 16 tries and Ethan Cross got 38 on four carries. Michael Shreves was 2-3 passing for 23 yards. Clayton Thomas grabbed a pass for 19 yards.

Paden City fumbled the ball seven times losing three while Tygarts Valley never lost a fumble. The Wildcats also had six penalties for 35 yards. Tygerts Valley had 395 total yard for six T.D’s to Paden City’s 205 yards and two T.D’s.
