Wildcats Are on the Prowl

By Staff | Aug 23, 2017

The Paden City Wildcat cheerleaders have a pair of new faces to look at daily during the 2017-2018 high school sports season, as Asia Richmond and Kayla Hizer are their new coaching staff this season.

Richmond is the head coach, while Hizer fresh out of college is the assistant. “This is my first year coaching a high school squad, and Kayla and I are very excited to see what this group will achieve this year,” said Coach Richmond.

The Lady Wildcats have 14 of the most well-rounded lady athletes to lead Paden City in their cheering and competitive cheering in the WVSSAC Region I competition as well as the OVAC and hopefully a state one too.

Those competing this season are in no particular order, seniors Kameron McClain, Caitlin Stewart, Jenna Arnett, Katrina Heasley, Malayna Price and Shelby Schultheis; junior Paige Leonard; sophomores Savannah Price, Cora Anderson, Isabella Beverlin, Trinity Loy and Loren Little; freshman Alexis Dennis, and the school’s first male cheerleader in sophomore Cameron Dennis.
