The 14th annual Marshall University Volleyball Camp concluded last week at Tyler Consolidated High School. A total of 42 campers took park in the four-day event, including young ladies from Tyler County and surrounding counties, with the farthest camper coming from Berkeley County. This year’s camp was conducted by Marshall University Assistant Volleyball Coach Jason Morris who, prior to coming to Marshall, was a legendary high school and club coach in the state of Florida. Joining him was Marshall Assistant Volleyball Coach Danielle Mirante, who was a four time collegiate All-American at The University of Tampa .

Coach Morris was very pleased with the camp and stated, “Tyler County has something very special going on with this camp. The kids have fun playing volleyball and are eager to learn. The future of volleyball in this area will continue to be bright.”

The 2018 camp will take place on July 23rd-27th and will be sure to once again be a hit with area youngsters.
