Lady Wildcats Fall Against Local Rivals 66-23

Paden City dropped another one on Saturday at home against Tygarts Valley 66-23. They now stand at 1-5 on the season with their next game coming up at Valley on Dec. 29. This will be a 6 p.m. game prior to the Paden City-Valley boys contest.

The Lady Wildcats of Paden City found the going tough this week as they dropped a pair of decisions to county rival Magnolia on Dec. 14, at Bob Burton Gymnasium.

Ashlyn Moses led the Cat’s with 11 points and five rebounds while Chelsea Baker popped in six and grabbed six boards. Aiding the cause for Paden City was Hope Cooper and Darien Ritchie with five markers each. Cooper hit for a three and Ritchie led the rebounding for the Cat’s with eight.

Magnolia was led by Grace Bersiford with 17 which put her over the 1,000 point mark for her career. Kelsi Chapman added 14 points for New Martinsville and Autumn Cecil scored five points and had four blocks.
