Silver Knights’ Runners Perform Well at John Marshall

The TCHS/TCMS cross country teams traveled to Mounsdville on Sept. 26, to compete in the annual John Marshall Invitational. Placing for the girls’ high school squad were Katie Pratt with a time of 23:36.9 and Damera Winfrey at 34:10.3. Pratt finished in 17th place while Winfrey came in at 83rd.

In the boys’ division Josh Frum came in 84th with a time of 21:13.0. Nathan Barker finished 93rd with a time of 21:26.0, while Kameron Milhoan crossed the line at 21.33.0 to end up at 96th.

The TCMS girls finished in sixth out of 10 teams. Abigal Ebert placed 25th with a time of 13:28.5, Kelsi Vandruff came in at 29th with a 13:33.6 time while Abi Thompson finished 30th with a 13:35.7 clocking. Finishing 39th was Emma Paden at 14:06.1, 55th place went to Jordyn Potoczny with a 14:44.0 effort. Claiming the 82nd spot was Ryley Vandyne at 16:07.6. Makayla Haught claimed 98th with a time of 18;07.6, Mackenzie Perine crossed the line in the 98th spot, with a 18:07.6 while Emma Grimes grapped 113th with a time of 19:12.7.

The TCMS boys showed their stuff as they claimed second place out of 10 teams. Spencer Corley was the top finisher for the Knights as he ran a great race in a time of 10:18.2 and was the third overall finisher. Creed Ammons placed 10th with an 11:19.3, while James Streets with a 11:34.6 finished third for the Silver Knights. Finishing 15th was Haygen Baker with an 11:49.0 reading and Hadyn Brown came in at 22nd with a 12:49.0. Jackson Kibbey crossed at12:59.0 for 39th. Ryan Fletcher finished in 116th with a 21:15.6 and Garrett Ammons rounded things out with a 26:36.4 time and 117th finish.

Tyler Consolidated High School and Middle School girls and boys traveled to Cameron on Saturday to compete in the annual Wet & Wild cross country event. The middle school boys team placed sixth overall out of 17 teams.

Placing third was Spencer Corley with a fine time of 11:15.1. James Streets was the next middle school finisher with a 23rd place time of 12:32.2 followed closely by Creed Ammons who got 25th in a time of 12:36.6

Other middle school finishers included Hadyn Brown 49th with a13:44.7, Hagen Baker 51st with a 13:51.3 and Jackson Kibbey coming in at 14:05.7.

JV middle school boys placing were Clinton Conrad with a 22:51.6, Ryan Fletcher at 23:23.8 and Garrett Ammons with a 28:30.4. The middle school girls had a good day as well finishing 14th. Abi Thompson had a good time of 15:03.4, Kelsi Vandruff 15:18.9, Emma Paden 15:49.4, Abigal Ebert 16:13.0, Makayla Haught 16:47.8 and Jordyn Potoczny 17:17.7.

Middle school JV girls placing were Hannah Jackson 16:53.4 and Makenzie Perine with a 20:46:5

High School times for the girls were Katie Pratt with a 26:10 and a 48th place finish. Damera Winfrey placed 94th with a 38:46.

In the high school boys’ division, Nathan Barker came in 62nd with a 22:51.9, Josh Frum 104th with a 26:44.5 and Kamron Milhoan placed 107th with a 27:22.
