Knights Take Two in Baseball Action

It was a good week for the Tyler Consolidated High School baseball team, as the Knights defeated Valley 20-8 and also earned a hard-fought victory over Calhoun County by a 7-5 score.

Tyler Consolidated belted out 20 runs and 14 hits in a 20-8 victory over Valley. Jacob Stackpole hit a grand slam while Colby Buchanan hit a home run of his own.

Jordan Baker had a single, double and two RBI for the Silver Knights while Colby Lash tallied a single, double and three RBI.

Dillon Glover also contributed to the win with a single, triple and three RBI.

Luke Daugherty had a third home run for Tyler Consolidated, which ran its record to 11-15, along with three RBI. Tyler Kocher belted a grand slam for the Lumberjacks and had five RBI.

Colin Bates tallied a single, double and two RBI in the losing cause.

Jordan Baker struck out four in two innings and then re-entered on the mound to get the save for Tyler Consolidated in a tough victory over Calhoun County, 7-5. Colby Buchanon hit two singles and had two RBI for the Silver Knights while Baker and Trent Smith had two singles and one RBI each. Luke Daugherty struck out three in four and two-third innings for Tyler.
