Tyler Consolidated’s Lady Knight soccer team played only one game last week, on Sept. 11, hosting Harrison Central. It was a good game for the girls in Silver and Black, who matched up well with their opponents, playing for a 1-1 tie when all was said and done.

“We should have won this game,” said head coach of the Lady Knights, Matt Kinnard. “We had the win, but we got beat on the counter attack and wound up with the tie.”

The Lady Knights took 15 shots on goal in the game, six in the first half, while holding their opponents to three shots in the first half and four in the second.

“We’re heading in the right direction, our program is making progress,” Kinnard said. “We show improvement with every game.”

The Lady Knight booters were scheduled to play at Williamstown on Tuesday. They will host John Marshall on Thursday at home at Burgbacher Field and Braxton County at home on Saturday at noon.
