The Larry Howard Memorial Golf Scholarship Tournament sponsored by the Sistersville Veterans of Foreign Wars will be held on Aug. 16 at the Sistersville Country Club and is now taking team registrations.

In fact, teams are actively being sought so this years tournament can see the success it has had in the past several years.

“We need teams to sign up,” said one organizer of the event. “We will only be taking 18 teams, and we’re asking that anyone interested to contact us as soon as possible.”

The four-man scramble (shot-gun start) will be open to the first 18 teams registering.

The entry fee for the tournament is $240 per team and will include a cart, green fees, continental breakfast, lunch and steak dinner. Other prizes will also be given out during the day. Skins game is available for $20 per team.

Women will play from the red tees, seniors (70 or older) from the gold tees, and all others will play from the regular tees.

Check-in and breakfast will be from 7:15 – 8:15 a.m.
