Tyler Rod and Gun Club sponsors youth fishing day at Lake
The Tyler Rod and Gun Club, along with the Law Enforcement Section of the WV Division of Natural Resources, has teamed up again to host special events in 2014. On May 3 the Club will sponsor the 14th annual “Kids Fishing Day” at Conaway Lake. The theme of the day will be “Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs”. This will be a special day for youngsters ages 1-15 to become more aware of the enjoyment of fishing and the natural resources in Tyler County. Issues of how drugs can, and will, affect every aspect of their lives will be discussed.
During the event, donated prizes will be awarded and food will be made available to every participant. The goal is to make this fishing event enjoyable and exciting to the participants.
Donations from businesses and individuals are appreciated and being accepted at this time, and anyone wishing to help support helping area youngsters become outdoor enthusiasts and have the opportunity to enjoy the natural resources available to them can contact the Rod and Gun Club or forward contributions to the Club at 155 Shiloh Road, Friendly WV 26146.
