Softball teams battle weather and opponents
Tyler Consolidated and Paden City High School softball teams are finding some difficulties getting their games in between the raindrops, snow flakes, and cold temperatures, but both managed to get at least one game in last week.
The Lady Knights fell to Wirt County at home on March 15, 10-1. Jasmine Moore took the loss in the pitcher’s position with two strikeouts and one walk. Offensively, Shandi Long singled; Alex Bubenchik hit two singles and scored the run; and Electra Livingston collected the one RBI.
The Lady ‘Cats took the nod over the Lady Hornets of Hundred on March 20 at home, 14-4. Loy got the win in the circle with three strike outs and five walks. Myah Charkawi and Loy each singled and drove in two RBI’s apiece while Kayla Hizer doubled in the effort.
