Earl Hill Memorial race slated
The tradition continues this Saturday Night, June 23 as the Tyler County Speedway will once again play host to the 24th Annual Earl Hill Memorial.
A $4,000 payday will await eager Super Late Models as the regions best take to the highbanks of the ‘bullring’ for yet another classic showdown in honor of the late great Earl Hill. It will be a big ‘bullring’ privilege to once again honor the man that made Tyler County Speedway his personal playground during the 70’s and 80’s with multiple track championships and a plethora of feature wins at Tyler and throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley racing scene.
South Park, PA’s Jared Miley captured last years running of the Earl Hill Memorial.
Past winners include the likes of Zack Dohm, Tim Dohm, Mike Benedum, Bobby Hill, Tim Hitt, Butch McGill, Gary Dalton among many others.
Also joining the Wagon Wheel Bar and Grill Late Models will be the United Rentals EDGE Late Models, Two Brothers Motorsports Modifieds, Bridgeport Equipment HotMods, Herrington-Yoak Modlites, Custom Engraving 4 Cylinders and Mini Wedges.
Be sure to bring the kids as a fan friendly “Autograph Night” will allow folks to enter onto the speedway at intermission to get their picture taken and autographs of their favorite ‘bullring’ racer. Gates open at 4, with hotlaps getting underway at 7. General admission is priced at $16, pits $32 while children 10 and under free.
Celebrating its 38th year of continuous operation and billed as the nations raciest bullring, Tyler County Speedway is a lightning quick high banked 1/4 mile oval that produces 3&4 wide racing action and is located 3 miles south of Middlebourne on State Route 18 at the scenic Tyler County Fairgrounds.
