Sports physicals are offered

Sports physicals will be provided for Tyler Consolidated athletes on June 14 at Tyler Consolidated High School. Physicals are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.

There will be a $10 cost for each athlete.

All athletes are reminded that they must have a physical and proof of insurance prior to starting practice for any sport at Tyler Consolidated.

Youth basketball camp is announced

The Tyler Consolidated Knight basketball program is sponsoring a youth basketball camp June 11-14, to be held at the high school gym, for girls and boys in grades 2-7. The camp will cost $30 per participant, and will include a T-shirt and lunch every day of camp.

Registration will take place on the first day of camp, starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday camp will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m.

Football and cheer sign-ups are held

The Tycon Knights Youth Football and Cheerleading sign-ups will be held on June 30 at Tyler Consolidated High School from 5 7:30 p.m. Sign-ups are open to students in grades K-6th (fall school year).

Football sign-ups will be $50 per players and $35 for an additional player in the same family. Cheerleading sign-ups will be $30 for the first child and $20 for an additional child in the same family.

Boys invited to play flag football

A flag football camp will be held at Tyler Consolidated’s Knight Stadium on June 12, 14, 18, 21, 26 and 28, from 6-8 p.m.

Any boy from Tyler Consolidated Middle School entering grades 6-7-8 is invited to attend. All players are asked to wear spikes and bring something to drink.

There will be no charge for this camp. Parents, fans and family are welcome to attend the games and watch from the bleachers.

Sign-ups scheduled for June 12

Tyler County Youth Football League will be holding sign-ups on June 12, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the old Sistersville High School football field.

Children in grades K-6 are invited to sign-up for football or cheerleading.

Soccer camp is held at Burgbacher Field

A youth soccer camp will be held at the Tyler Consolidated High School Soccer field in Middlebourne, June 18-22 for girls and boys in grades 2-8.

The camp will cost $20 per participant and the fee will include a T-shirt or perhaps a soccer ball.

This camp is being held in order to offer basic fundamental soccer skills broken down to appropriate age levels of the area’s youth as well as teaching rules and field positions. Awards will be presented at the end of camp.
