The Tyler Consolidated High School volleyball team won the championship of the Phillip Barbour Invitational Tournament on June 29.

This annual summer tournament included 15 high school teams from around the state, including Parkersburg High School, Hedgesville, Bridgeport, Morgantown, Oak Glen, Independence, Lewis County, Paden City, Phillip Barbour and Gilmer County.

Congratulations go out to the Silver Knights, who finished the tournament without losing a match. This championship topped off a busy summer season for the Knights volleyball team.
