Two players from the 2011 Silver Knights baseball team were recently recognized and named to the West Virginia All-State AA Baseball Team.

The Tyler County players receiving honors were Blaise Rice and Garrett Amos.

Blaise, who received Special Honorable Mention as a utility player, is the son of Gene and Diana Rice.

Garrett received Honorable Mention. He is the son of Barbara Minor.

The selections were made possible through nomination and balloting of high school coaches and sports writers throughout the state.
