Knights at Regional

The Tyler Consolidated High School cross country team finished the 2010 season on Oct. 21by competing in the Class A-AA Region I Regional meet in Cameron. Nine complete girls teams and 10 complete boys teams participated in the event, with hopes of qualifying for the state meet. In the girls division, the team from Oak Glen placed first overall with St. Marys placing second. St. Marys took the team win in the boys division with Doddridge County placing second.

Due to scheduling conflicts again, and illness, only three Knight athletes were able to make the trip. Freshman Ryan Dalrymple was the first Knight harrier to complete the contest finishing 64th (24:03) out of 78. Devon Thompson was next with a 72nd spot, 26:00 performance.

In the second race of the day, 65 girls lined up with Ashley Pfohl, the lone Lady Knight in the field, finishing 61st (32:00).

The Silver Knights have had a busy and productive season and coach Luke Reynolds said he appreciates the hard work put forth by each individual wishes them all well.

The state cross country meet will be held at Cabell Midland High School on Oct. 30.
