Sistersville General offers physicals

Sistersville General Hospital will be offering sports physicals for area athletes on July 22 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Sistersville Volunteer Fire Department.

No appointment is necessary, and all area athletes of every sport are welcome to attend. A $10 donation is requested.

Youth basketball tournament set

North American Youth Sports will be hosting a National Touranment in Parkersburg, July 8-11.

Games will be played late afternoon andevening on Thursday and Friday. Entry fee is $375 for 7 game minimum, registration deadline June 30.

Format is 6 pool play games and a single elimination tournament on Sunday.

Divisions are for boys and girls, 5/6th, 7th, 8th, 9/10th, and 11/12th. Grade is based uponthis pastschool year. To register, visit www.northamericanyouthsports.org, or call 1-866-352-5915.

Football camp offered to youth

The Tyler Consolidated High School football program has recently announced the dates of their 4th Annual Youth Football Camp. The camp will be held at Tyler Consolidated on July 1 from 9 a.m. until noon.

The camp is for students in the third grade and up and will cost $25 per camper, if registered by June 25.

Late registrations will cost $30. There is a family discount offered of $5 off each additonal camper in the same immediate family.

Tyler Consolidated High School 4th Annual Youth Football Camp T-shirts will be provided as well as lunch for all campers attending.

Tyler Consolidated High School Silver Knight head varsity football coach, Rob Caldwell, will be the camp director. Terry Snively, Mike Wolf, Bob Jones, Rob Jones, Gary Hagerty and Silver Knight football players will serve in a staff capacity at the camp this year.

Soccer camp is slated

Tyler County Soccer Camp for children ages 4-13 will be held at the Sistersville City Park on July 8, with the rain date scheduled for July 15. A swim party will follow camp from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Sistersville City Pool.

The cost for the camp will be $20 for each camper and each camper will receive a T-shirt.

Pre-registration for camp will be held on June 26 at the City Park under the big shelter from 1-3 p.m. Early registration on the day of camp will be held from 3-3:30 p.m. Call 304-771-8939 for more information.

Volleyball camp to be held at TCHS

A volleyball camp will be held July 26-29 at Tyler Consolidated High School courtesy of Marshall University.

A morning session from 8:30-11:30 a.m. will be presented for players entering grades 9-12, while players entering grades 5-8 will attend the afternoon session from 12:30-3:00 p.m. A free lunch is available to all campers from 11:30-12:30.

The fee for the HS session is $70 per camper, while the MS session is $65 per camper. T-shirts are guaranteed for all campers who register by July 22.
