YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING SIGNUPS

Tyler County youth football and cheerleading signups will be this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the old Sistersville Football Field.

Football players entering grades 2-6 and cheerleaders entering grades 3-6 may participate.

YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP

Tyler Consolidated will hold its third annual youth football camp on Friday, June 26 at the high school. It will take place from 9 a.m. until noon.

The camp director will be Silver Knights’ Head Coach Rob Caldwell and the staff will be comprised of Ryan Walton, Terry Snively, Mike Wolf, Bob Jones, Rob Jones, Gary Hagerty, and Tyler Consolidated players. A camp t-shirt and lunch will be provided to all campers.

Pre-registration application and camp fee is $25 with a deadline for Friday, June 19. Late registration is $30. There will be a family discount of $5 off for each additional camper of the same family.

Applications can be picked up at Tyler Consolidated High School.

TYLER COUNTY YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEER CAMP

The Tyler County Youth Football and Cheer Camp will be Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the old Sistersville High School.

Kids will learn the fundamentals of football and cheering. It may help your child decide if they want to be apart of the Tyler County Tigers football or cheerleading teams.

PHYSICALS

Physicals will be conducted at the Sistersville Fire Hall on Thursday, July 16 from 8 a.m. until noon.

Phyiscals are required for football players, but not for cheerleaders. Please bring the physicals the first day of practice on Monday, July 27.

WRESTLING CAMP

There will be a wrestling camp held from Monday, June 22 to June 26 at New Martinsville School.

The camp will be lead by Daran Hayes, a three-time West Virginia state place winner and assistant wrestling coach at North Marion High School.

He will be helped by Mason Bailey from East Fairmont High School.

Bailey was a two-time West Virginia state champion, outstanding West Virginia wrestler for the 2008-2009 season, Dutton Award winner, ranked in the top 10 in the United States, Dapper Dan team member, and will be on the United States Naval Academy wrestling team.

Camp will consist of instruction and high intensity drilling from all positions, training methods taught, Ironman competition and other games, and include a camp t-shirt, prizes, and Camper of the Week.

Camp will be Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to noon for grades 6 and below; grades 7 through high school will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
