Silver Knights bury ‘Noles 6-1 in only game
When opponents step up to the plate and see Zach Perkey on the mound, they know it’s not going to be an easy time trying to reach first base.
Monroe Central found that out Tuesday, March 31 as Tyler Consolidated’s hard-throwing southpaw ace struck out 11 Seminoles in a 6-1 win in Woodsfield, Ohio.

With Perkey still throwing strong, the ‘Noles couldn’t generate any offense, tallying only five hits for the entire game. The Silver Knights played error-free ball as well to help prevent any base runners from advancing.
Tyler Consolidated added three insurance runs in final frame to set up the final score. Monroe Central gave up only seven hits, but the Knights made the most of their opportunities from around the lineup.
Brody Northcraft and Michael Cochran led the charge with two hits a piece. Northcraft also got the job done on the basepaths scoring two runs after reaching on a single and double.
Zack Minger went 2-3 with a single, a double and an RBI. Zack Knowlton also reach the stat column with a single for an RBI.
