Lady Knights fall to Linsly in season finale

WALK THE LINE — Chelsea Musgrave is presented in front of the home crowd with her family.
The Lady Silver Knights regular season came to a close last Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Kidwell against the Linsly Cadets.
Before the game, Tyler Consolidated honored Chelsea Musgrave for senior night as she was playing her last home game in a Silver Knights uniform.
She would go out in style, but unfortunately the game would end in a loss.
The Lady Cadets raced out to an 11-5 lead after one and increased the lead by two at halftime with the score at 24-16.
In the second half, the Lady Knights were able to put together some impressive offensive series and tie the game up late in the game and eventually take the lead.
Linsly’s firepower still remained high, however, and retaliated with a 20-point barrage in the fourth quarter.
Tyler Consolidated only managed eight and dropped the game by a 55-41 margin.
Musgrave co-led her team with 10 points on the night, equaled by Christy Jones. Other scorers for the Lady Silver Knights included Tiffany Lohri with seven points, Heather and Keri Suter with five points, and Lynsey Casteel with four points.
The Lady Knights were slated to play the Oak Glen Lady Golden Bears on Tuesday, Feb 24, but results were not available at press time.
The Lady Bears were recently named the No. 1 team in the section, earning home-court advantage throughout the sectional tournament.
