Silver Knights Baseball Returns Solid Nucleus
The Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights baseball team is taking advantage of the breaks in the weather to get outside for live hitting and fielding as they prepare for the 2026 season. A total of 19 kids have been working hard in the off season in both the weight room and on the field. With only three seniors, head coach Rob Jones and his staff will be relying on underclassmen to lead the way in 2026.
Players with experience returning to the Silver Knights include Brayden Neff, Brennon Miller, Pierson Hayes, Reese Davis, Landon Boggs, Sawyer Kunkle and Chris Workman.
“We like the mix we have this year with some experienced players and a lot of young energy. We return three seniors, two juniors and a sophomore with starting experience, which gives us a solid core. At the same time we have 11 freshmen that have really worked hard this winter and had a great flex practice season. Our philosophy is simple, throw strikes, make the routine plays, and get on base at a high rate to keep pressure on our opponents,” said coach Jones.
