Tyler Consolidated Girls Wrestling Team honored their seniors in a tri-match on February 18 saying goodbye to seven seniors. Wrestling for the last time at the Castle were seniors Eli Dutton, Statistician Hailee Johnson, Miya Johnson, Gaia Paolini and Eliana Winfrey.

Eli is a four year wrestler and four year letterman. Arianna has wrestled and lettered for three years. Hailee has been the statistician for the past three years for both the boys and girls wrestling teams.Miya has wrestled for five years and has lettered for the past three years. Gaia is in her first year of wrestling as a foreign exchange student from Italy. Eliana has wrestled for 11 years and is a four year letterman, undefeated for the last two seasons and is a two-time WV State Champion.

Following the ceremony the Silver Knights went on to defeat both University and Magnolia in the tri-match. Ariana Hartline would go 1-0, Miya Johnson would go 1-1, Gaia Paolini was 0-3, Eli Dutton was 1-0 and Eliana Winfrey was 2-0 for the victorious Knights.

The girls wrestling team will now get ready for their regional set for Sunday, February 22 in Buckhannon, WV and the state tournament in Huntington on March 7.
