The Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights were rewarded for the 2025 campaign with two players earning recognition on the Class AA All-State football team.

Leading the way was standout defender Garrett Bordenkircher, who was named to the First Team All-State after a dominant season anchoring the Silver Knights’ defense. Garrett piled up 65 solo tackles and 14 assists, finishing the year with 81 total tackles. He added seven tackles for loss and two sacks, consistently disrupting opposing offenses and setting the tone with his physical play.

Also earning All-State honors was Gideon Winfrey, who received Honorable Mention recognition for his impact on both sides of the ball. Defensively, Winfrey recorded 44 solo tackles and nine assists, along with two tackles for loss, totaling 54 tackles on the season.

Winfrey was just as valuable offensively, emerging as a key playmaker in the Silver Knights’ backfield. He rushed for 897 yards and scored 13 touchdowns, providing a steady offensive spark and helping power the Knights throughout the season.

With Bordenkircher’s defensive leadership and Winfrey’s two-way versatility, the Silver Knights showcased the depth of their talent, a fact reflected in their presence on the 2025 Class AA All-State team.
