It was an emotional evening at Paden City High School High School on April 18 as the last senior class for Wildcat softball honored seven seniors before their matchup against the Wirt County Lady Tigers.

Rrita Dani, Aiyana Higgins, Lakynn Billiter, Brook Gray, Paige Glover, MacKenzie Simpkins and Riley Blake were recognized for their dedication, leadership, and contributions to the program throughout their high school careers. The seven seniors who have given their all to Lady Wildcat softball, were celebrated by teammates, coaches, family, and fans in a heartfelt Senior Night ceremony.

Despite the pre-game festivities the night didn’t end the way Paden City had hoped. The Cats fell to the Lady Tigers by a final score of 20-0. Wirt County capitalized on timely hitting and solid defense to secure the win.

While the loss was disappointing, the night remained a celebration of the seniors’ legacy, a reminder of the hard work and perseverance that defined their time in the Green and White.
