Brady Strode and his family celebrate his 1000-point milestone. TC Boys St Marys
Brady Strode entered their game with St Marys at home on February 3 needing 20 points to reach 1000 for his career.
He hit that mark scoring a game high 26 points as the Silver Knights defeated the Blue Devils 76-64. It was a family affair when his brother Cam assisted in the goal that put him over the 1000 point mark. The game stopped for a few minutes while the large crowd stood in appreciation for his efforts.
The Silver Knights led wire to wire taking a 17-8 lead after the first quarter and maintained that pace with a 38-31 lead at halftime. That was as close as the Blue devils would get. The Knights continued adding to the lead and after three quarters they led by 10. The Knights placed three other players in double figures with Cole Lemasters scoring 16, Brody Giovinazzo added 11 and Cam Strode chipped in with 10. The win snapped a six game losing streak moving their record to 6-10. The Knights will now travel to West Virginia State University to take on Trinity on Thursday February 13 in the 2025 Snyder of Berlin/UTZ snacks Shootout. The week-long event features 32 teams from across West Virginia with at least eight games a day.
