TC Archers compete at Winfield.

Another early morning departure for the Tyler Consolidated High School Archery Teams as they made their way South to the 6th Annual Winfield Archery Tournament.

With 800 archers in attendance and hundreds of spectators, it was a full house with an exciting atmosphere for everyone. The Knights came away with 7th and 12th place finishes out of 13 high school teams from across the state. Knights First Team (3095) Top Female Archer Lily Thompson (260) and Top Male Archer Jon Throckmorton (283). Knights Second Team (2824) Top Female Archer Lindy Landis (255) and Top Male Archer Tristan Bassett (263).

The Knights had 12 archers shoot their personal best scores which confirmed their dedication to practice is paying off. The trip for the Knights’ Archers next Saturday will be a short one when they travel to Magnolia High School. For any of our local supporters flight times are 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 6:00 and 7:00. “Hope to see you there, and again we appreciate all the community’s support!” said Coach James Utt.
