Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights traveled to West Union on Friday, November 8, 2024 for the final game of their regular season against the Bulldogs of Doddridge County. Both teams set for the playoffs battled to a 21-20 Doddridge victory. Doddridge would get on the board first on a 45 yard pass and run, converting the two point conversion to take a 8-0 lead. Tyler would answer early in the second quarter on a 59 yard pass to Bo Tallman to pull within two. The two point try by the Knights failed. Doddridge would not waste any time driving the length of the field to score and added the extra point to pull ahead 15-6 at halftime.

The third quarter saw Branson Winfrey go in from four yards out and Cayden Hall adding the two point conversion to get the Knights within one at 15-14 with 5:22 to go in the third quarter. Doddridge would score again to increase the lead to 21-14. The never say die Knights would put together a long scoring drive and with 3:58 to go in the game, Brady Strode would connect with Bo Tallman on a five yard pass to pull within one at 21-20. The Silver Knights decided to go for two and the win but failed to get the needed two points.

Branson Winfrey would lead the Knight ground game on 24 carries for 103 yards and one touchdown. Brady Strode would complete seven of 15 passes for 216 yards with Tallman pulling in 3 catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns and Reese Davis had two catches for 69 yards.

The Silver Knights who finished with a 6-4 record will find out who they play in the first round of the Class A playoffs at the coaches meeting in Parkersburg on November 10. Most likely they will host a first round game.
