TCHS Volleyball Action

On Thursday, October 3, the Silver Knights Volleyball team faced Ravenswood in a battle between two of the state’s top teams. The Tyler Silver Knights walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Ravenswood Lady Red Devils. The win was the third in a row for the Lady Knights.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 25-13, 25-19.

Leading the Knights to victory were Michlynn Morris and Macie Highley. Morris had 13 digs, while Highley had six kills,13 digs, five blocks, and three aces. They were followed by the always steady Kayli West who added four aces, 10 kills, 13 points, four blocks and 13 digs. Katie Grimm produced four aces, 11 kills, nine points and 17 digs.

Tyler finished the game with 15 blocks.

The Lady Knights have now won seven of their last eight contests, which improved their record to 17-4 this season. Ravenswood, ended a four-game streak of away wins and moved their record to 14-3.

TCHS Volleyball Defeats Weir and Wheeling Central

Tyler Consolidated has now defeated Weir twice this season and things went their way on Tuesday October 1st with a 2-0 victory over the Lady Red Riders.

The match was very close with both sets decided by three points or less. The final scores were 25-22, 25-23. The Lady Knights dominated from the service line with 10 aces.

The Lady Knights continued their winning ways defeating Wheeling Central in the second match of the day 2-1 by the set scores of 25-17, 22-25 and 25-19. The Knights had 35 kills led by Katie Grimm with 13 and Juliana Lattea with 12. The Knights were also tough on defense with 50 digs led by Grimm with 14, Raylynn Heintzman with eight and Kayli West with seven. Heintzman chipped in with 26 assists.

The Silver Knights will now play their next game at Ritchie County at 6:00 p.m. on October 15th.
