TCHS Softball Picks Up Win Over Williamstown

The Lady Knights picked up a big win on Monday, April 15 defeating the Williamstown Lady Yellowjackets by the score of 8-5. The win puts the Lady Knights in the driver’s seat for home field in the upcoming sectionals. The Knights got off to a slow start falling behind 2-0 after four innings but got the bats working in the fifth scoring five runs to take the lead for good. The Knights would add three more runs in the bottom of the sixth before Williamstown made a charge in the top of the seventh scoring three runs but could not catch the Knights. Alexis Livingston and Kenzzie Livingston provided the RBI’s with two each for the Lady Knights whose record now stands at 8-8 after winning their last three games in a row. Izzy Murray provided the other RBI for the Lady Knights. At the plate Erin Riffle and Alexis Livingston each had two hits followed by Lexus Rocchio, Izzy Murray, Kenzie Livingston and Jaedyn Gump rounded out the offense with one hit each. McKenzie Utt got the win on the mound going six innings striking out five.
