Lady Knights Softball Defeats Wildcats

Tyler Consolidated girls softball played host to the Paden City Lady Wildcats on March 27 in Kidwell. The game was moved to the turf at home due to field conditions at the Paden City field. The Lady Knights jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning and extended that to 4-0 after two innings. The big blow for the Wildcats came in the third inning when the Knights would score seven runs to put the game out of reach. Paden City was able to cross home plate for one run in the bottom of the fifth when Riley Blake, who went two for three scored the only Paden City run.
The Lady Knights were led by Kenzie Livingston going two for three and scoring three runs and Alexis Livingston going three for three with three RBI’s. Jaedyn Gump was one for three scoring two runs with one RBI. Alexis Haught, Macey Shuman, Erin Riffle and Hailey Sandy each had one hit to lead the 10 hit attack for the Lady Knights. Hailey Sandy would pick up the win on the mound going three innings striking out four Lady Wildcats.
