TCHS Softball Splits Doubleheader

he Lady Knights took game one against South Harrison on Saturday, March 23 by the score of 5-3. A cold windy day met the girls as they battled the tough conditions. The game was tied 2-2 after three innings when in the fourth South Harrison picked up a run to take a 4-3 lead. The Knights would battle back in the fifth scoring three runs for the victory. Macey Shuman led the Knight offense going three for four scoring two runs and adding one RBI. Izzy Murray, Erin Riffle, Alexis Livingston and Jaedyn Gump all had one hit apiece with Livingston adding two RBIs. McKenzie Utt picked up the win for the Knights going the distance striking out five.
Game 2 saw the Knights fall by the score of 6-2. The Silver Knights would take a 1-0 lead after the first inning but gave up two runs in the third and four in the fifth. The Knights would add one more run in the sixth. Lexus Rocchio was two for three at the plate with two RBIs. Kenzie Livingston also was two for three scoring two runs. Hailey Sandy picked up one hit. Hailey Sandy and McKenzie Utt combined to strike out six on the mound for the Knights.
