TCHS Archery Team traveled to Hundred High School to kick off the season’s first tournament. Tyler had twenty-seven of their thirty-two archers along with all four coaches and many parents and grandparents in the stands for the first meet. A team score consists of the top four boys, top four girls and then the next top four scores regardless of gender to create the team’s total score. The top twelve shooters for Tyler were Briar Utt, Peyton Headley, Walker Ramsey, Lily Thompson, John Throckmorton, Travis Moore, Mackenzie Henthorn, Beau Thomas, Gunner Weekley, Aaliyah Pittman, JD Wells and Nicole Stoller with a team score of 2,950. One of the coaches commented, “TCHS was thrilled with a second-place team finish but has high hopes for improvement over the course of this year’s tournament season.”

It is nice to see this new coed sport in the Ohio Valley and especially exciting to see the great interest it is generating at TCHS.
