Lady Knights Pick up Win Number One

The Lady Knights picked up win number one on Saturday December 30 in the consolation game of the Ritchie County Holiday Tournament with a hard fought 57-53 victory over Lincoln County. Tyler jumped out to an early lead after the first period leading the Lady Panthers by nine at 19-10 and extended that to a 26-16 lead at halftime. A big fourth quarter saw the Knights outscore the Panthers 21-14 to secure their first win.

The Lady Knights were led by Jules Lattea registering a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Two other Knights hit double figures with Riley Stover hitting for 10 points and Katie Grimm adding 11. Other Knights hitting the scoring column were Macie Highley and Braeden Wall each with seven points. Three Lady Knights were hot from behind the arc with Stover, Wall and Highley all hitting for 3-pointers.

The Lady Knights will next be in action when they travel to Clay Battelle on January 4th looking to add to their win total.

Lady Knights Hammer Clay Battelle

The Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights picked up a lopsided victory on Thursday January 4 when they traveled to Clay Battelle by the score of 80-42 to pick up win number 2 on the season. The Knights offense came to play with four Lady Knights hitting double figures with Juliana Lattea leading the way with a double-double scoring 24 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Braeden Wall had an outstanding night scoring 19 points, with nine rebounds, six assists and seven steals. Rounding out the double digit scoring was Katie Grimm with 12 points and five steals, Maleah Weber added 10 points, nine rebounds and three assists and Alexis Livingston had nine points and five rebounds.

The Lady Knights will look for win number 3 when they host Wirt County on Tuesday January 9 at the Castle in Kidwell.
