Locals perform well at Clay Battelle Rush Invitational Track Meet
In the Girls 100 meter dash Hundred picked up five points as Auddie Tuttle finished a close fourth in a time of 14.10. Paden City also scored in the event with Marie Schramm coming in sixth in a time of 14.74 for three Wildcat points. Hundred’s Tuttle finished third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.69 good for six more Hornet points.
Paden City picked up six more points on the heels of Brandis Dalrymple who ran a 1:08.31 in the 400 meter dash good for third place behind Morgantown and East Fairmont. Tyler Consolidated got two points in the event with Anna Vollmer finishing sixth in a time of 1:11.52.
Paden City freshman Lexi Mathis added six points to the Wildcat scorebook with a third place finish in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:43.20. Hundred picked up five points in the race with a fourth place finish from Rachel Snedden in a time of 2:44.30. Tyler Consolidated got one point from Isabella Michael in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:59.56 good for eighth place.
Paden City’s Mathis won the 3200 meter race in a time of 12:52.41 to add 10 points to the board for the Cats. Second place went to Hundred with Snedden running a 12:56.4 good for eight Hornet points.
The Wildcats continued to pick up points as senior Hallie McDonald won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.81 good for 10 Wildcat points. She then doubled up with another win in the 300 meter lows in a time of 52.32 to beat out second place Morgantown. The win gave Paden City 10 more to their scorecard. Tyler Consolidated picked up three points in the event with a sixth place finish from Bridget Doak in a time of 58.47.
The Silver Knights took second place in the 4×100 meter relay in a time of 56.52 to pick up eight points from a team of Makayla Haught, Anna Vollmer, Bella Garuccio, and Trinity Kanz. The Knights came in fourth in the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 2:07.07 good for five points from a team of Raylynn Roberts, Vollmer, Mackenzie Henthorn, and Kanz. Paden City took third place in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 4:54.57 good for six team points from Schramm, McDonald, Dalrymple, and Mathis.
In the 4×102.5 shuttle hurdles Tyler Consolidated took third place in a time of 1:18.08 good for six points from a team of Haught, Kanz, Doak and Garuccio.
Garuccio also added eight points to the Silver Knights total with a second place jump in the high jump of 5-00.00. Teammate Trinity Kanz added 4.50 more to the team total with a fourth place tie jump of 4-04.00.
In the long jump Hundred took first place with Addie Tuttle leaping 14-09.00 to out distance the field for 10 points. Schramm of Paden City got fifth for four points with a leap of 13-02.50. Tyler Consolidated took sixth with Anna Vollmer picking up three points on a leap of 12-11.00. The Silver Knights also got a point on an eighth place leap from Mackenzie Henthorn of 12-10.00.
In the Girls Shot Put Hundred came up big again with a first place finish from junior Leah Delaney on a toss of 30-01.00 good for 10 Hornet points. They picked up three more points in the event as sophomore Areonna Zarco took sixth with a toss of 27-01.00. Tyler Consolidated picked up nine total points in the event with Makayla Haught getting third for six with a 28-05.00, Mya Anderson of Tyler tossed 26-10.25 for two points and seventh place, Sydney Deaton got a point on 25-09.00 good for one point.
The Silver Knights good a good effort from Deaton in the discus throw as she beat the field for first place with a throw of 87-11 to give the team 10 points. Hundred’s Delaney came in a close second with an 87-11 to pick up eight more points and Zaro was third with a throw of 83-06 for six more Hornet points. Paden City got three points in the event with a throw of 77-00 from Schramm, and Tyler picked up two more with a seventh place throw from Emma Grimes of 76-05.
East Fairmont High School won the meet with123 points. Morgantown had 116.50, Clay-Battelle 78, Hundred High School 71, Trinity Christian School 66, Tyler Consolidated High S 63.50, Paden City High 58 Union High School 10, and Cameron High School10.
Girls Track Cline Stansberry Doddridge County Invitational
Girls 100 Meter Dash Magnolia’s Jaci Rohde came in fifth with a time of 13.41 good for two points. In the 200 meter dash the Blue Eagles picked up six points as Jenna Blain came in third in a time of 27.34. Blain added eight more points to the Blue Eagle total with a second place finish in the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 48.88.
In the 4×100 Meter Relay Magnolia finished third with a team of Kaylle Cline Bre Herrick, Sienna McKevver, and Jaci Rohde in a time of 54.66 good for six points. The Blue Eagles got six more points in the 200 meter relay with a time of 1:54.07 from a team of Cline, Herrick, McKeever, Blain.
In the girls 4×400 relay Magnolia took fifth place with a team of Shy Simmons, Reese Hale, Kaylee Cline, and Bre Herrick with a time of 4:35.55 to add two points to the Blue Eagle total.
Magnolia also took second in the 4×102.5 shuttle hurdle relay with a time of 1:14.48 good for eight points from a team of Shaela Holliday, Emma Spitzer, Jenna Blain and Reese Hale. Tyler Consolidated came in fifth for two points in a time of 1:17.49 with a team of Makayla Haught, Trinity Kanz, Bridget Doak, and Bella Garuccio. Garuccio added two points to Tylerás total in the high jump with a fifth place finish of 4-10.00.
Magnolia picked up four more points in the pole vault as Jaci Rohde cleared the bar with a fourth place vault of 8-06.00. Sydney Deaton added a point for Tyler Consolidated in the discus throw with a heave of 89-00 good for sixth place.
Williamstown easily won the meet with 128 points. North Marion was second with 87.50.
