Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights honored their Seniors and parents on Monday April 25 at the Castle in Middlebourne Seniors Romana Rice, Audrey Dennis and Briann Templeton led the Lady Knights to victory over arch rival Magnolia by the score of 6-1. Tyler jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one inning and added two in the fifth and two in the sixth to seal the deal. Magnolia was able to push across one run in the seventh. Tyler was led by Tanley McEndowney going three for three scoring one run and Leah Loudin going two for three with a double and scored two runs. Braeden Wall was also two for three. Audrey Dennis was big at the plate when she delivered a two run home run in the fifth inning. Briann Templeton added a hit on an RBI double.
Lady Knights Win LKC Placement Game
Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights defeated South Harrison 12-2 in their LKC placement game. Braeden Wall picked up the win going five innings and only allowing three hits for the Silver Knights. At the plate Audrey Dennis had the hot bat going three for three with two doubles and two RBI’s. Ashley Spencer two for three one RBI, Tanley McEndowney two for four and two RBIás Leah Loudin was two for four with one RBI and Romana Rice was one for four with three RBI’s.
TCHS Lady Knights Drop Double Header to Williamstown
Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights lost game 1 to the Williamstown Yellow Jackets by the score of 6-2 on Wednesday April 27 at Williamstown. Tyler jumped out 1-0 nothing lead after the first inning but Williamstown answered in the bottom of the second to tie the score. Williamstown would add two runs in the fourth and three in the sixth while Tyler could only manage one in the top of the seventh. The Lady Knights were held to four hits in the game with a Audrey Dennis, Leah Loudin, Braeden Wall and Romana Rice each with a hit. Braeden Wall pitched all six innings for the Lady Knights giving up 12 hits while only walking one.
Game 2 saw Williamstown jump out to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning and extend that lead to 6-3 after three innings. Tyler would try to come back adding two in the bottom of the fourth to make the score 8-5 after four innings but could get no closer dropping a 9-5 decision to the Yellow Jackets.
