Lady Knights Drop Double Header

The Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights hosted St Marys on April 13, 2022 in a doubleheader. Tyler would drop both games on the score of 4-0 and 10-1.  In game 1  Romana Rice would lead the way going two for three, Briann Templeton one for three and Haley Sandy one for two with a triple. Braeden Wall would take the loss for the Lady Knights pitching all seven innings. 

Game 2 the Lady Knights only managed four hits with Audrey Dennis, Leah Loudin, Haley Sandy and Romona Rice each collecting one hit.  Haley Sandy was on the mound for the Knights going five innings giving up eight hits striking out two.

TCHS Softball Lose Two to Ravenswood

Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights traveled to Ravenswood on Thursday April 14 for their second double header in as many days and came up on the short end in both games by the score of 8-1 and 6-5 in eight innings. Game 1 saw Ravenswood pitcher Macy Casto fire a two hitter striking out 15 Lady Knights. Only Audrey Dennis and Leah Loudin were able to get one hit apiece. Audrey drove in Tyler’s only run on a single to score Loudin.Braeden Wall took the loss on the mound for the Knights.

Game 2 was a different story as the Lady Knights battled Ravenswood to the end dropping a close one 6-5 in eight innings. Tyler would take a 1-0 lead after the first but Ravenswood would answer in the third scoring three runs to go up 3-1. Each team would add a run in the fifth inning. Tyler would put up three more runs in the top of sixth to take a 5-4 lead heading to the seventh. Ravenswood would tie the game in the bottom of the seventh to push the game to extra innings. Tyler failed to score in the top of eighth. The Red Devils would plate the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to take the victory. The Lady Knights bats came alive as they managed 10 hits. Hailey Sandy led he way going four for four with two RBI’s. Leah Louden was two for two scoring two runs, Alexis Livingston two for four and scored one run with one RBI, Tanley McEldowney was one for three and Ashley Spencer was one for five. It was a tough loss for the Lady Knights as the continue to try to find momentum as they head down the stretch.

Silver Knights Softball Host Doddridge

The Lady Knights hosted Doddridge County on Friday April 15 and fell to the Lady Bulldogs by the score of 6-5. Another close one saw the Lady Knights lose tied 5-5 going to the seventh but gave up one run in the top of the seventh inning and failed to score in the bottom of the inning. Braeden Wall took the lose for the Knights going all seven innings allowing eight hits while striking out five. Tyler had eight different hitters with a least one hit led by Briann Templeton going two for three with two doubles. Also joining the hit parade was Lexus Rocchio going one for three, Tanley McEndowney one for three, Audrey Dennis one for three, Hailey Sandy one for three with a double, Braeden Wall one for three with two RBIs, Havannah Lemasters one for three and Romana Rice one for three with two RBIs and a double.

Lady Knights Fall to Ritchie County

The Tyler Consolidated girls softball team hosted Ritchie County on Tuesday, April 19 and came out on the short end of a 17 to 4 defeat in five innings. Ritchie would jump out early scoring six runs in the top of first inning and would add one in the second, one and third, six in the fourth and three in the fifth. Tyler tried to come back beginning in the third inning plating two runs and two in the fourth but would get no closer. Briann Templeton and Romona Rice each would go two for three on the evening with Templeton adding two doubles and one RBI. Ashlee Spencer, Tanley McEndowney, Audrey Dennis and Hailey Sandy each with one hit apiece. Sandy also had a double for Silver Knights. Hailey Sandy and Braeden Wall would combine on the mound for the Knights surrendering nine hits and six walks while striking out two. Sandy took the loss for the Lady Knights. The Silver Knights will next travel to Wirt County on Thursday April 21 to take on the Tigers.
