TCHS Girls Get First Court Win

ELIZABETH — Tyler Consolidated out scored the Wirt County Tigers 28-2 in the second quarter to take a 39-15 halftime lead and never looked back to grab their first win 70-39 on the young campaign. After falling behind 13-11 in the first quarter the Silver Knights defense shut the Tigers down and the offense went to work scoring from inside and out during the Dec. 12 matchup in Tigers’ territory.

The Silver Knights guards did the most damage as Amanda Reynolds knocked down a pair of treys and scored 17 points while sophomore Peyton Kocher also ended with 17 markers while drilling a long ball. Sophomore point guard Josey Jones added 12 points respectively. JoLee Walton another sophomore got a pair of buckets and added 4-6 from the foul line to finish with eight for the winners.

The Silver knights out rebounded the Tigers 28-17 with Walton grabbing nine and Aleah Black and Jones both hauling in six. Autumn Wells played well scoring five points and pulling down three rebounds.
