Silver Knights Route the Rebels

By Staff | Oct 7, 2016

MIDDLEBOURNE A rainy night did not dampen spirits as the Silver Knights rolled over the Ritchie County Rebels 49-6 on Homecoming.

Courtney Hoder was crowned as the Silver Knights’ Homecoming Queen by last year’s queen, Brittany Weekley.

Per the game highlights, TCHS star Jace Reed notched 154 yards on 11 carries and one touchdown. Not too shabby Mr. Reed. Very nice.

Tyler Anderson scored two touchdowns; one on a 15-yard pass from Griffin Phillips, the other on a six-yard run which can be added to a two-point catch from Phillips. And ponder this as amazing Anderson scored 14 points in a little over a quarter of playing time.

Nate Lancaster 30-yard fumble return for touchdown.

Hunter Forester 35-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Phillips 5-5 extra point kicks.

Freshman Mark Rucker a two-yard touchdown run.

Freshman quarterback Gage Huffman scored a touchdown on an 11-yard run.

Phillips — 3-5 passing on 30 yards, one touchdown and a two-point conversion. Wow!

Noah Smith had two carries — 23 yards.

Wesley Watson — two fumble recoveries, eight tackles.
