Wildcats Volleyball Wins Opener

PADEN CITY – Fred King’s Wildcats proved to be to much for the visiting Lumberjills from Valley and Bishop Donahue during the Wildcats opening tri-match on Thursday at home.

In the first match against the Bishops, the Wildcats dropped the first set when Donahue came from eight down to claim a 26-24 win. The Wildcats came right back, however, to win sets two and three 25-22 and 25-11. Kallie Arnett and Jenna Ferrebee each had 10 kills against Donahue while Aubrey Neff scored 19 points, 21 assists and four digs. Madison Kelly added 15 points, Malayna Price 11 points and 21 huge digs.

Katrina Heasley and Jenna Arnett each contributed nine points.

In the two-set win over Valley, the Wildcats made easy work over thew Lumberjills with Neff agin leading the charge racking up 12 points and 12 assists. Price recorded 15 markers and five digs while J. Arnett with nine points, Kelly with nine kills, Heasley with 10 points and Ferrebee four kills to round out the stats for the Wildcats.
