Silver Knights Slay Bulldogs, 42-12

Moments after the Silver Knights slay Doddridge County's Bulldogs, the team takes a moment reflect and savor the victory.

WEST UNION — Tyler Consolidated built an early lead and cruised to a 42-12 win against Doddridge County on Friday at Cline Stansberry Stadium in West Union.

Quarterback Griffin Phillips connected with senior Tyler Anderson in the first quarter for a touchdown on a 13-yard pass.

Jace Reed added a 19-yard run scoring jaunt and Anderson picked off a Bulldog pass and races 38 yards to make it 23-0 at halftime. It was one of two interceptions by the senior.

Phillips connected again with Anderson to open the third quarter on a 15-yard strike.

Anderson (18-92) and Reed (8-63) had solid rushing efforts in the victory.

Other area scores of note from Friday night: Bishop Donahue 59, Hundred 0; South Harrison 41, Valley Wetzel 6; Williamstown 34, Magnolia 12.

It was a bye week for Paden City.
