Weekley wins PC Fun Run
Thirty-eight participants signed up to be a part of Paden City’s annual Labor Day Fun Run, held on Monday in the early hours of the morning on Monday. Though the runners and walkers ran a soggy and slick course thanks to the cold all day rain, everybody finished safely and with decent and respectable course times.
Josh Weekley was the overall first place finisher in the contest with a time of 17:35.
The first female overall finisher was Linda Milhoan with a time of 23:05.
Males participating and placing first and second in their age divisions were as follows: ages 15 and under – Hunter Deem and Simon Wren; 16-19 – Michael Schupbach; 20-29 – Jonathan Moore and Brian Casto; 30-39 – David Schupbach and Aaron Cisar; 40-49 – Mark Milhoan and Matt Arnett; 50-59 – Dale Landbfed and Don Lane; 60-69 – John Arnett and Tommy Nicols; 70 and over – Ernest Doll and Jim Amos.
Females participating and placing first and second in their age divisions were as follows: ages 15 and under – Kayla Hizer and Addi Arnett.
20-29 – Sara Slone and Casie Fox; 30-39 – Kim Weekley and Krysi Arnett; 40-49 – Celeste Benson and Jeanne Davis; 50-59 – Joanna Casto; 60-69 – Barbara John and Linda Eagle.
Special awards were presented to the oldest male and female participants, Ernest Doll and Barbara John.
An award for the race participant traveling the farthest to compete was presented to Eben Arnett of Indiana.
Each year the annual Fun Run proceeds go to benefit Paden City High School’s varsity boys and girls track programs.
