Tyler Consolidated and Paden City High School varsity cheerleaders will be competing at the Region I Regional on Nov. 6 at Wheeling Park High School.

The Silver Knights division, Class AA, will begin their competition at 6 p.m. The squad will go up against squads from Oak Glen, Magnolia, Pt. Pleasant, Ravenswood, Ritchie County, Roane County, and Weir.

Tyler Consolidated’s cheerleaders are pictured at left: Lydia Hickman, Shelby Kelley, Alaina McCoy, Asia Richmond, Alex Bubenchick, and Kali Mead. The squad is coached by Stefanie Starcher and Sue Skinner.

Paden City’s squad will compete in the Class A division at Wheeling Park High School on Nov. 6. Their competition will begin at 2 p.m. as they compete against squads from Bishop Donahue, Calhoun, Cameron, Gilmer, Hundred, Madonna, St. Marys, Valley, and Wheeling Central Catholic.

Both squads hope to do well enough at the Regional to compete at the state level at the West Virginia State High School Cheering Competition on Dec. 11 at the Charleston Civic Center.
