Youth wrestling club seeks members

The Triple Threat Golden Tornadoe’s are seeking members for the new youth wrestling club.

The club will be accepting athletes that are in the first grade to the sixth grade, no experience necessary. The cost for the season will be $45 per athlete; $75 for two athletes in the same family; and $100 for three members of the same family. Practices will be held at the James Willison Family Center (old SHS high school gym) in Sistersville, with the first practice scheduled for Nov. 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The second practice will be held on Nov. 4 from 7-8:30 p.m. The entry fee will include practice gear of T-shirts and shorts. Only wrestling shoes or socks will be worn on the mats, and knee pads and/or other wrestling gear is optional.

An informative meeting for parents will be held on Oct. 25 at the Willison Center at 6:30 p.m. The season is expected to last until the end of March.

Sign-up sheets are located in the following locations: the Sistersville City Building, BP Par-Mar, The Fort and Myers Funeral Home in Sistersville; the BP Par-Mar, NSide Out, Marathon Gas Station, Lucy’s, Kristy’s Hair Magic, in Middlebourne; and at the Marathon Gas Station in Paden City.

Completed sign-up forms and registration fees (with checks made out to Triple Threat Wrestling Club) can be turned in at the Sistersville City Building. All athletes in the first to sixth grade are invited to become a part of the only youth wrestling club in the area.
