‘Cats win over Central
The Paden City Lady Wildcat volleyball team is making great strides in their season this year, racking up wins where ever they go.
At Wheeling Central on Sept. 21, the Lady ‘Cats took the win by scores of 25-14 and 25-10. Lynnsie Parsons had 43 good sets, one dig, 21 assists and seven points. Amanda Heasley scored 18 points, one ace, had two digs and seven kills; Dominique Craft scored 13 points, had one assist, seven digs and four kills; Megan Cutlip scored 11 points, had four digs and four kills; Chiara Di Leo scored eight points, was credited with two assists, had four digs and six kills; Logan Cosper scored three points, had seven digs and one kill.
In the second match against Central, Paden City again took the win, 25-18 and 26-24. Parsons had 48 good sets in the game, 25 assists, scored 11 points, had one ace and one dig. Craft scored 12 points, had two assists, one ace, six digs and four kills; Heasley scored 11, had two aces, three digs and eight kills; Cutlip scored four points, had six digs and eight kills; Di Leo had 10 kills, five digs, two assists and scored seven points; Cosper scored three points and had two digs; and Kelsey Loy had one assist.
At River on Sept. 23 the Lady ‘Cats raised their record to 13 wins and three losses with wins of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-18 over the Pilots.
Paden City hosted Cameron on Monday, will host Bishop Donahue on Wednesday and Wood Co. Christian on Thursday. On Saturday the team will play at Tyler Consolidated in a quad match with Williamstown and Calhoun.
