Lady Knights receive several post season awards
Several Tyler Consolidated’s Lady Knight volleyball players have achieved post season accolades, after finishing their fine ’09 season.
Outside hitter, junior Heather Suter was selected as the second team All-State team as a captain of the team; and first team All-LKC. In the ’09 season, Suter achieved 688 hits, 317 kills, 204 blocks, and 148 points.
The Knights outside hitter Lynsey Casteel , a junior who missed several games due to a back injury , received special Honorable Mention All-State and first team All-LKC. Her stats for year include 440 hits,212 kills, 77 Blocks.
Two sophomores on the team, setter Keri Suter and Defensive Specialist Whitney Williams were also named Honorable Mention All-LKC.
Lady Knight Libero Katie Klages, senior, was selected to play in the West Virginia North/South All-Star match which will be held on Dec.6 at Woodrow Wilson High School.
Richard Summers, head coach of the Tyler Consolidated Knights, will be coaching the North A/AA Squad with Janet Frazier from Wirt County.
