Lady Knight netters win over Trinity Christian
The Lady Knight varsity volleyball team at Tyler Consolidated High School is playing the middle of their schedule, getting a look at a few teams they may see later down the road.
In a tri-match at home on Oct. 3, the Lady Knights were stunned with the loss to Wirt County.
The Tigers took the game in three sets, 24-26, 25-22 and 25-20.
Scoring points on serves for Consolidated were Whitney Williams, with 10; Tiffany Lohri, eight; Sami Jones, four; Christy Jones, three; and Heather Suter, two. Suter and Williams each added aces. Tory Cline had 35 good sets in the game with eight assists and eight points, while Keri Suter had 12 sets and two assists.
Sami Jones had four kills, Heather Suter, Lynsey Casteel, and Makayla Clegg had two kills each.
Against Parkersburg South, on the same day, the Knights again took the loss in three, 22-25, 26-24 and 25-15. Scoring on serves were Williams with 14; Christy Jones, 10; Lohri, four; Keri Suter, four; Sami Jones, three; and Heather Suter with one. Keri Suter had 55 sets and 18 assists.
The Lady Knights took the win over Trinity in two sets, 25-13 and 25-10.
Williams and Christy Jones each scored 10 points and had two aces. Sami Jones scored four; Keri Suter scored five and had one ace; and Lohri and Heather Suter each scored one point. Casteel had seven kills and Heather Suter had five.
Keri Suter had 35 sets and 13 assists.
Tyler Consolidated’s record stands at 9-10 at this point of the season.
