Haunted Trail a Success

By Staff | Nov 14, 2018

Dear Editor,

The Paden City Park and Pool Commission would like to thank all the people that made our Haunted Trail a success. The weather was very kind to us this year. We had 485 kids. That was a good turnout.

The Haunted Trail is done for the kids to get their candy and trick-or-treat in a safe way and have fun. Our world is a different place now, and we need to keep our kids safe, they are our Future.

We had 24 stations.

I first want to thank Amanda Trader for doing our flyers; Josh for putting out the electric cords and ghosts; Roxanne and Jen for selling tickets, and Kathy Johnson; Ace for donating bales of straw for the hayride; Ed Probst for doing our hayride; Bridgeport Rental for donating use of the John Deere tractor for the hayride; Sheri and Richard Johnson and Ron Casto.

I also want to thank the business that donated: Sharps (for tickets), McDonalds, Witscheys, Myers Car Lot, Brenda Botizan, and Walmart. I also want to thank the Wetzel Chronicle, Tyler Star News, Innformer, WETZ, St. Marys Radio, and Channel 18 for advertising for me.

I have been doing this for five years, and I want to thank everyone.

I want to thank all the stations that donated their time: WCEMS, Paden City Lions Club, Community Bank, Genesis Crisis Center, Gabriel Project, Dominos, Wesbanco P.C., Paden City Library, Paden City Nazarene Church, Tasty Freeze, Paden City High School Respect Club, Shoe Sensation, Sistersville Genesis Center, Paden City Eagles, Paden City Garden Club, Paden City Legion Auxiliary, Friendly Lions Club, Paden City Friends of the Pool, Bayer Credit Union, Burger King, Arbys, Paden City Christian Church, Paden City Police Dept., and Paden City Fire Dept.

I want to thank all of the above for making our Haunted Trail a success, and for thinking of the kids. I apologize if I missed anyone. I appreciate everyone, and I want to thank everyone who has been there over the past five years. I appreciate it more than you know.

God Bless, and Thank You,

Thomas E. Trader Sr. and

the Paden City Park and Pool Commission
