Vietnam Veterans this is for you

You were Soldiers tried and true

It took perseverance for hours and days

You did your duty with little praise

You let home with heads held high

To do your duty without a cry

You stayed the course through thick and thin

When other places you could have been

Your pay check wasn’t your goal

You went to save your Country’s Soul

You did your job with no complaints

And carried your burden like a Saint

You did your duty and returned

With no fanfare to welcome you home

But God watched you from on high

And for you He will always be nigh.
