Dear Editor,

An open letter to all patrons of our fine grocery store in Middlebourne and New Martinsville, Witschey’s.

I have shopped in both locations and am always happy with the products sold. But, recently, due to handicapped issues, it is becoming more difficult for me to shop at Witschey’s. Thanks to owner, Bill Witschey, each location has a wheelchair with a large basket. That wheelchair is great for the handicap shopper who has someone to push the wheelchair. But for those of us who do not have someone to push the wheelchair, it is difficult getting around the store.

I recently spoke to Mr. Bill Witschey and the manager at the Middlebourne store about purchasing a motorized cart. Both Mr. Witschey and the Middlebourne Manager stated that a motorized cart has been discussed.

Since I live nearest to the Middlebourne Witschey’s, going to the Wal-Mart where there are motorized carts in New Martinsville, is not a desirable option.

I invite readers of this letter to request that the management at Witschey’s order a motorized cart for use in both stores. If enough of us request the carts, then perhaps we will receive a cart in each store for the holiday season.

Sincerely,

Misty L. Groth
