To The Editor,

Thank you to the merchants and other individuals who donated gifts, both items and monetary, to the Paden City Community Festival. You helped make the festival successful. Many people came down to browse and purchase items from over 30 vendors in attendance. The food was great. It was a good day to relax, listen to good music, and best of all, enjoy the company of good friends and neighbors. We want to thank all of you for your participation in helping make The Second Annual Paden City Community Fall Festival one to remember.

Thanks to Paden City Merchants, George McDonald’s Auto Related, Home Plate Bistro, Chapman Hardware, Chen’s Garden, Marble King, Packy’s, and Susie’s Crafts; in Sistersville, Phillips Pharmacy, HP Pharmacy, and Kool Aid’s Family Pizza; New Martinsville merchants, Tractor Supply, Advanced Auto Parts, Bridgeport Equipment, Auto Zone, McDonald’s, Radio Shack, Choo Choo’s, Captain Richard’s, Ace Hardware, The Jewelry Doctor, Arby’s, Quinet’s Court Restaurant, A-Won Buffet, Witschey’s Market, Dos Hermanos, Burger King, Off the Wall, and Occasions Florist. I hope that the people who come in to shop in your businesses will tell you how much they appreciate support.

The Fall Festival is a nonprofit project, and any money will be used for the revitalization of our Park and our Pool. The Pool in Paden City is in need of repairs and we have designated the money to help finance the repairs needed to keep our pool in operation. Our park is a beautiful spot for picnicking, camping, and just relaxing. We have a convenient walking trail for those exercise enthusiasts, and the scenery can’t get much better than the Ohio River. The marina is open to all boaters in the area and is convenient and has easy access.

There were over 30 vendors at the Festival this year. We had baked goods, quilts, ceramics, homemade cards, scarves, decorations for fall and Christmas, wreathes, woodworking, raffle baskets, candles, pumpkin decorating, in other words, there was something for everyone at the Community Fall Festival and we thank all who attended, and who brought crafts and other items for sale. You made our day a huge success. A big thank you goes out to Tami and Don Billiter, their children, and Julie Efaw, for helping the mayor with the Apple Butter Project.
