Dear Editor:

We want to thank everyone for their help during the attempted robbery at HPS Pharmacy. Law enforcement from Sistersville, Paden City and the Sheriff’s Department responded as soon as the alarm rang. Unlike large cities where most people look the other way, local residents were at the Pharmacy immediately offering their help to the police about what they had seen and heard. Also, offers to get me coffee, was I warm enough, could they help in anyway, were greatly appreciated. due to extensive damage done to all of the entrances, the building was vulnerable.

Even though it was very early Sunday morning, everyone that I called to help in securing the building came without hesitation. A special thanks to Pat Morris and Dennis Miller for all they did.
